Dr. Gautam Sawhney and his assistant Ms. Ankita treated my wife for root canal treatment. The treatment continued for an year wherein the RCT was done for 3 teeths. The treatment continued till February2010, almost 4 sessions a week as per prescribed treatment. During this period her one tooth was extracted on the recommendation of the doctor; which we agreed on the absolute faith on the doctor and their profession.
Since Jan'10, my wife is complaining of constant pain in her jaws. She was prescribed some more medicines yet there was no positive result. The doctors were informed about this, which was ignored consistantly.
In march'2010, we consulted another dentist who recommended an X-ray. In the digital X-Ray three broken pins were found in a tooth.
I feel strict measures should be taken against such medical professionals, who play with their patients faith and complete trust. I consider this highly unprofessional behaviour for which they should be reprimanded. My wife had to undergo pain, loss of a tooth, loss of time, possibility of losing adjoining two teeths and mental peace.
I wish no other patient get into their unprofessional medical practice. |

Dr. Ritu Sabharwal and her so called qualified doctor assistant treated me for root canal treatment starting in April 2010. The treatment continued for over a month and a half wherein the RCT was done for one tooth and the pain continued. On complaining I was given painkillers and antibiotics. Her so called qualified partner continued to treat me and completed the root canal filling despite complaint of pain. After I was in screaming pain and needed to have a pain killer injection- Ritu Sabharwal took over the treatment and removed the root canal filling, then put a temporary and then semi- permanent filling, and then again a permanent filling and like this the treatment continued till May 2010, almost 2-3 sessions a week for over a month and a half. During this period I continued to have absolute faith on the doctor and their profession as she said it was fine and would get all right. I even paid the full amount of 4000 INR on good faith despite the fact that treatment was continuing. Since then, I have constant pain in my right jawline. Despite the 2 rounds of antibiotics and painkillers the dull pain remains. I did inform the doctor about this but she conveniently ignored me. Finally in Mid May 2010, I consulted another dentist who recommended an X-ray. In the digital X-Ray he found that the root canal filling was not done correctly and currently the only solution would be to extract the tooth.
I feel strict measures should be taken against such medical professionals, who play with their patients faith and complete trust. I consider this highly unprofessional behavior for which they should be reprimanded. I have had to undergo pain, loss of a tooth, loss of time- I am a working professional and have had to take unpaid leave- so loss of money, and mental peace. In additional, they even refused to refund the money they have taken for this torture. So I had to pay 4000 INR +++ for the torture I had undergo plus pay another doctor for extracting my tooth and then also pay my company for the leave I had taken totaling my loss to the tune of ~ 10,000 INR.
I wish no other patient get into their unprofessional medical practice. Dr Sabharwal and their clinic in Lajpat Nagar with fancy clinic and fancy cars which they have build up based on this money making racket should be closed and banned.
