Erratic delivery and defective gift
I subscribed to India Today Weekly magazine in response to a mail soliciting subscriptions in September 2010 and made full payment for one years' subscription.(Subscription No. ITE 1987796 )
I got acknowledgment for the payment and was given to understand that my subscription would start from issue dated November 1st.
As I did not get any copies of the magazine till Nov. 2nd week, I complained to their toll free No. and was told that the delivery would be made in two days.As I did not get any magazines even after one week I again complained and got the same reply.This went on for two weeks and finally (After six complaints!)in the last week of November all issues for November were delivered together!
The delivery of the magazines again stopped after 2nd week of December and again after repeated complaints all issues were delivered together!
Now I have to plead every week for the delivery of the magazines and the issues are delivered well after the concerned week.
The gift (Accord Mobile Phone) was delivered after persuasion of more than six weeks and I have discovered that it is a defective piece!I wrote to them on January 12th and January 22nd and one Mr.Vijay Kimar,Executive,Customer Care assured that they had instructed the concerned department to ensure timely delivery of all future issues,but it has still not happened.My repeated requests to replace the defective handset have fallen on deaf years and I have no option but to explore other avenues (The Print Media) to get my complaints redressed.I sincerely hope that you would be able to make the concerned people see reason and stop taking their subscribers for a ride!
