                 <title>Undue delay in processing car loan</title>

                 <description>Sir,  I applied for Car Loan on 3 February, 2012 and submitted necessary documents and photos of Self &amp; my son-in-law. The application was submitted in HDFC Bank,Lokamaleswarm, Kodungallur Branch.    I am an Ex-Serviceman, Senior Citizen and  defence Pensioner with a monthly Pension of Rs.21,820/- (Rupees Twentyone thousand eight hundred twenty only).Six months Bank Statement of self and Salary details of my son-in-law (monthly salary of more than Rs.40,000/-)was also submitted.    After 2 to 3 days I got a telephone call from HDFC, Car Loan section of Thrissur and informed me that my son-in-law cannot stand as Surety as he is not blood relation , hence my son or daughter should be surety as per your bank rules. Mt daughter who is Principal in Bhavans Gandhi Vidyasram, Kodaikanal stood surety who signed in the application form along with her photo and SIX months Bank statement showing proof of her monthly income and a certificate showing that she is staying in the Principal,s Quarters provided by Management in the school campus being Residential School were sent to them by speed post on 15th Feb 2012. I have confirmed the receipt of speed post by HDFC Bank, Car loan Section on 21 Feb 2012. I was told by Car Loan section that the application is under processing and will be ready within 3 to 4 days. I was also informed that I will get 80% of the show room price. `   I have paid advance to Saipoint cars dealer,Goa Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) on 3 Feb 12 for purchase of Maruthi Suzuki Swift Dezire car the receipt was also submitted to your Bank along with the application. I have been following up with the car loan section of HDFC Bank Thrissur with the concerned Executive who gives me reply stating that it is under processing and will be ready soon. As I was getting phone calls from my dealer stating that the vehicle is ready and should collect soon, I used to follow up with car loan section of HDFC branch with the concerned executive (Mr Mathews) who informs the sanction is yet to come.   Today I received a phone call from Car Loan section at about 2.30 P.M(7 Mar 2012) and Mr.Sanoop asked that my daughters this month,s salary details is to be submitted immediately to process the car loan application. When I told him , SIX months salary details are submitted along with the application , he says that this is also required. I asked him to connect me to Exective Mr Mathews. Though he told me to hold on, after a few minutes he said Mr Mathews will call me back later.   After few minutes Mr Mathews did call me back and told about the position of loan application and 60% will be the sanction amount though I was told earlier that 80% will be maximum I can get. HE ALSO SAID MY DAUGHTER,S SALARY DETAILS OF THIS MONTH ALSO IS REQUIRED.My daughter is working in Kodaikanal and is not possible to get it immediately which will add to further delay.   Sir, my daughter,s monthly salary is Rs.54,000/- (Rupees Fifty Four Thousand only) who stands Surety to me. I am getting monthly Pension of Rs.21,820/-. I am the applicant for loan. Do you mean that I should not be granted at least 80% of the showroom price of the car. Can you justify this long delay of more than ONE month. Hence I have decided not to avail car loan from your Bank. I have already told Mr Mathews that I do not wish to avail car loan from HDFC Bank as I experienced worst treatment from your Bank. This complaint to you is only to enlighten you about the customers plight. Hope you will enquire into it and take necessary action. Though I have given 24 PDCs and timely amount of EMI had been debited periodically still I got one call from Lucknow Recovery Office of Mr Jay Kumar saying you are defaulter and immediately come to office and deposite pending amount. I was out of station and cancelled my very inportant meetings and visited lucknow lic hfl recovery office and finally Mr Jay Kumar told to repay Rs 357 as Balance of Principal. When I asked why is this additionally imposed on me while I am continuously paying my EMIs the behaviour of Mr Jai Kumar was not good and he could not clear me and move me here and there to this window and that window in the office. I activated ECS and submitted form at LIC HFL Office opposite Sahara Shopping Mall, So futher I reqeust to activate ECS and debit EMIs via ECS.</description>

General Manager, Reserve Bank of India, Complaints Redressed Cell, Administration Division, Near Gandhi Bridge, Date : 29th Sept., 2011 AHEMEDABAD – 380014  COMPLAINT AGAINST SHRIRAM CITY FINANCE LTD.  Dear Sir/Madam,  With due respect, I am requesting you, that inspite of my full due payment in time the above company is not closing my loan account and charging extra amount illegally. 	The details of the case is as under :- I have taken loan from Shriram City Union Finance Ltd., Pune Branch to purchase a TVS scooty pep+. My loan was sanctioned on 31-01-2011 for Rs.30,600/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand Six Hundred only) and EMI of Rs.1,978/- fixed from 07-03-2011 through ECS. I paid the said monthly installments till August,2011 and asked for final amount to close the loan account. But after repeated follow-up on 24th August the company give me statement and on the same day I have given a Cheque of Rs.29000/- (Rupees Twenty Nine Thousand Only) as a Balance amount +Future principal + Broken period Interest+5.00% as prepayment charges, to the company. The person assured me that the after received the payment, your account will be closed as it comes from our Chennai Office. When the cheque was not presented I enquire about the status, the company send me a message on my mobile that the same cheque received by them on 31st August, 2011. The said cheque was paid on 4th and again on 7th September ECS of Rs.1,978/- issued and returned unpaid. As the cheque of Rs.29000/- handed over on 24th and it seems that it was deliberately lying with company’s office. When I approached to company’s office to issue me NOC, the company demands Rs.1000/- , as a ECS returning charges + Interest, and refuse to close my loan account. The approach of company is not cooperative. They don’t care for customer complaint and if the remaining amount demanded not paid, they have all rights to recover. On payment of loan before due date, instead of giving discount the company is charging more amount than regular payments. 	So please look into the matter and instruct the company to close my account and cancelled all charges, as I already paid Rs.9,890/- as Installments and Rs.29,000/- as a broken interest + prepayment charges and future interest. 	Thanking you,  Yours faithfully,  Sd/-  (Mrs. Vandana N.                  <description>Sir, Sub: Certain objections raised by the loan issuing authority Home Loans- false notions facts and clarifications Reg.  	Ref: Home loan application Dated 02/06/2011 Application No: 7112000078   I have been granted home loan with A/c No: 4399 in 1999, further I got another loan for the construction of a part of compound wall with A/c No: 5531. Second loan had been sanctioned without much delay even with a request through phone call, as the installments of the previous loan had been remitted regularly for five years. After that in May 2011, I had applied for another loan for some maintenance works like compound wall etc. As per the instruction of the office, the application had been submitted along with the estimation approved by the engineer and required documents. Hoping the sanction of the loan I had stared the work. The Application was submitted on 2nd June-2011. After 25 Days I had been informed over Phone that my application was rejected, showing the cause that the Loan Installment of Jan-2011 was not remitted in time and made it defaulter.   	I would like to make it clear the fact which leads to wrong assumption and false notion.   Post dated cheques were given for the repayment of loan installments by me. In January, I had been informed that the all of the cheque leaves were presented to the bank from the office of LICHFL and requested me to submit post dated cheques. As it is already 18th of the month and due date is expired I had submitted another cheque bearing the amount of the Jan-2011 and Feb-2011 installment along with late fees with date 10th February 2011. But unfortunately unaware of the date of the cheque, the same was presented to the bank in the last week of January by the LIC HFL Office and it was returned from the bank. The same had been informed to me over phone and immediately I had remitted the amount. 	I would like to bring to your notice that there is no fault of mine in the entire issue and to inform that the same happened because of communication gap. 	For your kind perusal, I humbly clarified that it is not fair to punish me for the fault which is not done by me. 	So I request you to consider my application and sanction me the loan applied for.                  <description>Recently I applied for Housing loan with SBI-RACPC, I seems they are never looking at the loan requirements and submitted documents,  After keeping my documents for more than a month, at the last moment after the valuation they simply say they cannot consider the pent house are area for loan processing.  The Chief Manager of SBI, Anna Salai branch asked me to meet other Charted Engineer for revaluation and spent thousand rupees more for that work from my packet. I understood from the discussion that he himself doesnot aware of much of the process for housing loan.  I suggest everyone never go to SBI for loan processing, its obvious the SBI RACPC employees never toward sactioning the loan as quickly as possible, sleepy SBI RACPC workers.</description>

I have taken home loan on 5th Nov 2009 @ 8% with EMI of Rs. 10,038/- but they have charged interest @ 10% with EMI of Rs. 11,590/- from the date of loan to March 2010, when I complain many times to the General Manager R.O., then Bank Manager assured me they will refund it, but till date I have not received back my extra amount (6,208/-) Charged and deducted by Bank and when I asked from bank manager they not responding to me.   2. Interest for Home Loan should be based on reducing balance method, but Vijay Bank charges Interest as per its own method. They don’t have any particular method &amp; charge amount of interest as per their own wish; I am unable to understand till now what method the Bank has adopted for charging the interest. As per the sanction letter the interest to be charged for first 5 years are as under: Ist Year – 8%  IInd &amp; IIIrd year – 9.25% IV-Vth year – 9.50% The bank has charged the following interest in different months:-  Months	Interest Amount December 2009	9,876/- January 2010	10,178/- February 2010	10,166/- March 2010	9,171/- April 2010	8,107/- May 2010	7,832/- June 2010	8,078/- July 2010	7,805/- August 2010	8,050/- September 2010	8,036/- October 2010	7,762/- November 2010	8,007/- December 2010	8,942/- January 2011	9,224/- February 2011	9,213/- March 2011	8,309/- April 2011	10,115/-  May 2011	11,036/- June 2011	11,883/-  Again in month of May 2011 EMI deducted Rs. 11,036/- and in month of June 2011 EMI deducted Rs. 11,833/- what is this? As per sanction letter EMI of the 2nd Year should be Rs. 10,957/-  What is this? I have send complaints many times to the branch that please rectify your mistake and refund me the excess amount deducted by you, but they don’t do the same. I am hopeless for this matter. Please take necessary action in this regard.  The interest should be reduced every month but this is not happening.  3. The bank has charged me every year Rs. 335/- as inspection charges. But nobody has inspection to my home for a single time. I have taken loan on 5th Nov 2009 at that time bank has charged me Rs. 4,000/- as (Title search fees) Rs. 3,000/- valuation charges and Rs. 3,654/- as processing fee. But after 3 month they have charged me Rs. 335/- as inspection charges and again in Feb 2011 they have charged 335/- inspection charges without any inspection.  Further they have also charged Rs. 800/- in March 2011 as N.E.C. Charge, and on 2/05/2011 audit charge Rs. 750.00 (I don’t know about that) when I seen my statement I come to know about this charges. The bank never told me about such type of charges. Also they have not told me at the time of sanction of loan. They should have informed to me before charging any extra amount. I am unable to understand that why they are charging again and again zigzag amount?  4. I have not received my Loan schedule till date. I have also written request to RTI also, but they have not provide me the loan amortization schedule in which they are showing monthly EMI, Interest charged, principal payment and outstanding principal balance. You are requested to please provide the same to me.   I requested many times by a written Complaints to solve my problem to the branch Manager, Regional Office and their Head Office, (Copy enclosed) but nobody takes it seriously, they just have single reply “Please Wait for few days, the problem will be get automatically solved”. I am already waiting for so long (from December 2009), how much I have to wait more? It’s the extreme limits of Harassment by the bank. THEN HE HAD DONE THAT &amp; THE CORRECTIONS DONE WERE VERY CHEAP WORK. I HAVE STILL KEPT THE BOTH LETTER-HEADS. No.30016679853 – Reg. Dear Sir,  With reference to the above , I, the undersigned would like to draw your kind attention towards the sabotage planned against about 150 to 200 customers (CSEB’s Employees) on the subject matter by your SBI , Main Branch / CSEB Br. , Korba with the help of builder M/s. Satya Construction , Bilaspur. The details of my particular case is as under :  1. That, I have been sanctioned a loan against construction of house amounting to Rs.5,50,000/= on 28.09.05 against above mentioned A/c. and surprisingly, the same was released on same day to the builders M/s. Satya Construction , Bilaspur in single installment without verifying the authentic documents, site conditions etc and that too without any intimation , confirmation from the undersigned. Here , it is out place to mention that the date of application , the date of sanctioning of loan Rs. 5,50,000.00 and the date of disbursement of whole amout of loan in single insalment of Rs. 5,50,000.00 is same. Further it is also to mention that the registry of plot on which construction of house was proposed has been done in favour of me after a lapse of about one month of sanctioned &amp; subsequently release of loan amount i.e. on 21.10.2005 and this matter was came to my notice when I approached to SBI , CSEB Br. for finalizing the housing loan formalities ( that your loan has already been sanctioned and released to the builders on 28.09.05 by SBI Main Br., to whom I never approached for housing loan ) 2. Accordingly , I have registered my complaint on the subject issue and repeatedly requested SBI Main Br. to resolve the issue but instead considering my request , the bank threatened the undersigned to declare my above property as ‘ NON PERFORMING ASSET’ for no fault of me although I am ready to pay EMI if bank resolves the issue/ dispute created. 3.	 Since, the bank has paid full amount of loan to the builders on the very first day of sanction of loan with zero works, I have left no control on builder to put any pressure regarding completion of works and builder has left over the site since last 05 years ( approx. Jan.’ 07) with incomplete works(50%) and till date the above house has not been handed over to me. Under such condition , I have stopped my repayment of EMI conditionally wef Nov. ’07 till the bank resolves the issue / dispute fruitfully regarding the financial loss incurred to me in respect of excess amount of Interest, Price Hike of raw materials and house rent for non completion of house in scheduled time for which the Bank is only the responsible agency for the situation created as on today. 4. Over and above , this act of sanctioning of loan in an unlawful manner was not possible without the collusion with the builder. You might not be aware that the bank’s management have terminated their officers/ staff i.e. the then Branch Manager, Mr. Jatav and others but even after repeated request and complaint to various bank authorities, the SBI management is relunctate to resolve/redress the grievances of the customer which is beyond understanding. The case is lingering on since last about 6 years without any solution. At the time of providing complete information why agent not give me complete information  2. I have submitted my salary slip of 10.6k but in bank history it was shown 10k. 3. if I m not qualify for the loan then why bank give me offer .. 4. Why bad credit card history was put in my account where as credit card department said you have the good credit card history. 5.                  <description>Hi this is Rajesh from Hyd. I have seen an add from Seagrams Finance Ltd., in Deccan Chronicle and on internet of all kinds of loan at 3.5% p.a. So, I applied for a housing loan of Rs. 20 Lakhs. They send me a sanction letter too. I paid a total amount of 1 lakh 16 thousand rupees for processing and other charges hoping that I will get a loan for my new house, but these people have cheated me. Now their cellphones are switched off from Feb 28, 2011. I was supposed to get the loan by first week of Feb'2011. The one lawyer, Jagdish Sarma is a very dangerous candidate. He said he will meet me personally to collect his commission of Rs. 30,000/-. He did not even come to Hyderabad, but behaved like he was in Hyderabad disbursing other loans for almost 3 weeks. I feel like killing him along with Ranvir Sehgal and Prashant, the other two who operated the whole thing from Ghaziabad. I have taken a house building loan from SBI ( Uluberia branch , Branch Code – 199 ) jointly with my wife, who is an assistant teacher in Geography, Nuntia High School, Nuntia, Mugkalyan, Bagnan, Howrah, on October, 2004. My house building loan account number is 11245406705. Since the date of loan, never we have become defaulter in the repayment of my loan. At present, we like to take a further home lone against the previous home loan, that is, we like to extend our previous home loan and for this reason, we are visiting the above said branch on alternate days during last two months. The concern branch manager and the field officer Mr. Prasad did not help us at all and instead of that they are always misbehaving with us. In fact, it is very difficult to find out the field officer Mr. Prasad at his working table during the working hour, if sometimes we get chance to meet with him, he always ignore us and don’t like to take our complete loan application form. Why they do not want to give us the loan, we could not understand. So, it is our earnest request to you, please investigate the matter and take the necessary step against such misbehavior. If you please investigate the matter, you would see that the above said two officers not only misbehaved with us, but also they misbehaved with so many customers.                  <description>Hi Team,  This is to bring into your notice that I applied for Home Loan Balance Transfer from HDFC and they approved it, however at the time of disbursement there are certain issues have come now. I provided all the documents to HDFC whatever they asked for but later they are asking to provide original copy of MCD MAP. I can't trace the Plot owwner to get the same and this was not told to me by Sales Rep. Even at the time of Technical verification they did not as for the same. Now neither they are disbursing the loan nor they are refunding processing Fee ( 7,200/-)  My Question :How can they approve the loan if their prerequisites are not completed and, if they have taken it exceptional, it should have been told to me before taking processing fee.  Please guide me the channel to escaalte this. Please help me to get refund  </description>
