I attended franchise FROEXPO conducted by franchise india on 26th feb 2011 in hyderabd, entry fee is rs300 which includes entry to exhibition and 1 year subscription of anyone of thier magazines. I opted for The Franchising World magazine which i was supposed to get from March 2011, but till now i did not recieve anything from them. IT looks like company is cheating people in the name of 1 year subscription and getting views for thier exhibition and neglecting them once they come. Company feels that individual will not complaint for small amount like rs 300 and cheating most of the participants. Individuals people remember that from 1 person its only rs 300 but if they cheat thousands of people in the same way they collect huge amount.

Of LIVING MEDIA INDIA LTD. dated 10/09/2010. In the letter it was mentioned in their words as ‘Your gift of “ACCORD MOBILE PHONE” shall be reaching you through courier within the next 8 to 10 weeks time. Please take open delivery.’ On 8th December 2010, as I did not receive the promised mobile phone, I talked on their helpline no. 1800 1800 100 to one ms. Jyoti at 1.20 p.m. for the same. After checking the status from the gift department, she told me that as the Accord Mobile Phone is not in stock it will take 3 to 4 weeks time to receive the same mobile at my end. On 8th January 2011, I sent an email to their email id wecare@indiatoday.com as I did not got the same mobile phone, to which I got the reply that it was dispatched and recd. , at our end on 30-11-2010. ( before I talked to Ms. Jyoti on 8th December 2010 who confirmed with the gift department). For which I sent an email which reads as follows: SHOCKED TO READ that you have alredy dispatched the said accord mobile phone on 30.11.2010. with sign and i talked to one ms. jyoti on your customer helpline 1800 1800 100 on 8TH DECEMBER 2010, and she told me that the same is not in stock and will be delivered in 3 weeks time after checking the records. and now you say that you have dispatched the same on 30.11.2010 i.e. befor the time i talked to your customer care officer. please let me know who recd. the same and whose signature is there. I AM SURE THAT IT IS NOT RECD. AT OUR END BY ME OR ANY OF THE FAMILY MEMBER. YOU WILL HAVE TO SEND THE SAID ACCORD MOBILE PHONE AT THE EARLIEST. rajesh parikh. On the same day i.e. on 8th January 2011 I recd., another email in the afternoon I received reply email which reads as follows: Dear Mr.Parikh , This is with reference to your e-mail. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused to you due to non-receipt of gift We would like to inform you that we have forwarded your details to the gift department for "Proof of Delivery" of subscription gift. Hope you shall bear with us in the interim Please feel free to get back to us at 1800 1800 100/ 0120 2479900 for further assistance/clarifications. Assuring you of the best possible services; always. Regards, Vijay Kumar Executive-Customer Care Please quote your Subscription Number ITE122011or Case Id 2710803 in all future correspondence. As nothing was coming up from them about the proof of delivery as promised in their email in 5-6 working days, I spoke on their helpline 18001800100, and on Mr. Tara attended at 4.00 p.m. and told me that the gift of “accord mobile phone” was returned back as the courier did not locate the address; and asked for the landmark of the building. (incidentally our building is the landmark in our area) I gave him the landmark as in our building on 1st floor, is offices of “Lijjat Papad”, and have big advertising boards on 1st floor; and he told me that it will take 10 to 15 days for the delivery. On 7th February 2011 after waiting for more than 15 days as promised, I rang up 18001800100 and one Ms. Lalita at 4.25p.m. attended the call, who again verifying with the gift section, told me that as the gift of “accord mobile phone” is out of stock it will again take 3 to 4 weeks. On asking to talk to higher authority she gave me an email id as anuj.srivastav@intoday.com. (what a policy? One time you tell it is out of stock, then you say it was delivered, but could not furnish the proof of delivery and then say the gift was returned back, as the address was not located, and then again say that it is out of stock.). Same day I also sent an email which reads: From: rajesh parikh [mailto:rajeshrparikh@yahoo.co.in] Sent: Monday, February 07, 2011 5:44 PM To: WECARE Cc: anuj.srivastav@intoday.com Subject: Re: subscription no. ITE122011 and Case id 2710738. sir, i am rajesh parikh. as per your suggestion i had called on 1800 1800 100 on 17th january 2011 to one Mr. Tara, who informed me that the gift of accord mobile phone was returened back as the courier comp. could not locate the address. surprising as i am getting no. of courier articales at the given address and your courier comp. unable to locate the landmark building in the area, our building is the landmark to other addresses in the area. eventhough i gave mr. tara the landmark that at the first floor LIJJAT PAPAD office is there and they have put up big board at 1st floor. so there is no chance that anybody miss the address. mr tara had promised me ON 17TH JANUARY 2011 that he will send the "ACCORD MOBILE PHONE" IN 10 TO 15 DAYS TIME. so i waited for the same till 6th February 2011, but my 'ACCORD MOBILE PHONE' has not come. so i rang up 7th february 2011 on 1800 1800 100 at 4.25p.m. to one ms LATA, who told me that the phone is out of stock and will be sent to me in 3 to 4 weeks time. so i have to wait again for another 4 weeks to get my gift 'ACCORD MOBILE PHONE' for which the payment is made through my icici bank creditcard in the month of august 2010 and i got the acknowledgement of the recpt. of the subscription amount by a letter dated 10/09/2010, by manager (unable to read the sign. ? UniKrishnan.) for Living Media India Ltd. subscription deptt. on 8/12/2010 one ms. jyoti also told that the gift is out of stock, than on reply to my email of 0/01/2011 i was told that the gift was delivered to me on 30/11/2010 which is the date befor i talked to ms. jyoti, who after checking with the gift department told that the gift is out of stock, and then again on 17th january 2011 mr tara told me that the gift was returned back and will be sent to me in 10 to 15 days. and now on 7th February 2011 Ms. Lalita tells me that the gift 'ACCORD MOBILE PHONE' is our of stock and will be dispatched in 3 to 4 weeks time. WHAT IS GOING ON ???????????????????????????? DO I EVER GOING TO GET THE PROMISED 'ACCORD MOBILE PHONE' GIFT? MR.ANUJ SRIVASTAV, PEASE ANSWER ME WHAT IS YOUR STAND REGARDING THE GIFTS YOU PROMISE AGAINST THE SUBSCRIPTION? To this I recd., a reply email which reads: From:WECARE To:rajesh parikh Subscription Number ITE122011 Friday, 11 February 2011 2:32 AM Dear Mr.Parikh, This is with reference to your e-mail. We are sorry that you had to write to us repeatedly. I sent the attached card dully filled in and payment details through my visa icicibank credit card to confirm my subscription for one year as mentioned the offer letter via their reply envelop where postage will be paid by addressee. I subscribed for the “TIME” magazine for one year on 17/10/2010, posted the letter on 19/10/2010, with my visa credit card for amount of rs. 2646.00; and I was charged by the credit card bank on 11-11-2010, as per credit card statement. IT WAS MENTIONED IN THE OFFFER LETTER WHICH READ AS: “We’ll send your FREE gifts as soon as we receive your subscription payment. Act now and mail today!” As per their commitment as above, when I did not receive the said free gift 4 piece travel set, I rang up on 8/12/2010 to their helpline number 0120-2479943, which was answered by one Ms. Nigar at 1.25p.m. answered that gifts only delivered 6 to 8 weeks time once the subscription copy starts.
looting Public Money by running fraud news paper and Harrasing innocent formers

Looting Govt./Our Money by running Fake news paper Vijayabhanu-Visakhapatnam Respected Sir, Please read and help poor hardworking formers. Indian government is asking Media (News paper) to participate in Corruption Prevention and giving many benefits to the Media. We are here to bring it to your notice about the news papers in Visakhapatnam, which are encouraging bribe and corrupting the various government departments viz. DAVP, Railways, electricity board, Vizag Steel, Municipal office, Mandal offices to benefit themselves and to loot govt./public money. We hope you have 10 minutes of time to understand how the public money (Your money) is getting loot by the Fraud Media person and how the poor formers are harassed with power & money. Kindly take the responsibility to prevent, fight with the corruptive media person and also save poor and middle class formers from this corruptive business man. The managing director of Vijayabhanu daily is having assets worth of 70 crore rupees as per market value, who was not owning a house 20 year back. Yearly 80 lakhs of govt. /public money is getting loot by Vijayabhanu daily M.D thru the fraud news paper. Asset Details of B.Chandrasekhar: Ø 50 acres land in Tagarapalasa near Vizag, on the way to Vijayanagaram (Market value 20 crores) Ø Vijayabhanu Building-Vijayabhanu press + Royal Residency, Pithapuram colony (Market value 15 crores) Ø A Luxurious guest house near Beemily in 2 acres land near Vizag (Market value 10 crores) Ø A Hotel in Prakasarao peta, Vizag (Vijayabhanu Hotel – Market value 20 crores or above) Ø A luxury Duplex House and two luxury Cars (Market value 2 crore or above) Ø 40 acres mango farm lands with guest house in Nethakuppam village near Tirupathi, A.P. (Market value 2 crores) Ø 2 Flats in Hyderabad and Plots on benamies in Vizag (on his wife brother) and many more. Ø Gold and Silver Ornaments – worth of 1 crore or above. Complete Details about Fraud News Paper Business: Any News paper will earn money from government advertisements. The amount for government ads will be decided by the DAVP (Directorate of advertising & Visual publicity) basing on the circulation of the news paper per day. The news paper Vijayabhanu daily head quartered in Visakhapatnam shows 60,000+ news paper circulations to DAVP, but they print only max 2000 news papers per day to circulate in various government offices to show that the advertisement given by them is published and should give more advertisements to our news paper. As the responsible government individuals in DAVP are bribed with a share of 40 & 60 percent on every advertisement (40% as bribe and 60% to publication), there is no one to bother at all on the circulation and priority for giving advertisements to these fraud news paper is more as everyone is getting benefitted. As this news paper is established with necessary technical requirements, in case of riding by DAVP vigilance, they print 60,000 papers and transport them to godown for that day or two. Now this publication slowly established their branches in other small towns of A.P. viz Vijayawada, Srikakulam, Kakinada, Karimnagar, Warangal, Rajamundry, Tirupathi etc. showing circulation of 15000 news papers per day so as to increase their income thru this corruptive publication business. Paper will be printed in Vizag having future date (next day’s date) on the paper and sent to the mentioned branches by bus/train to circulate in necessary government offices, so that no one can question why paper is late or not delivered. But officially there will be an agreement with the local printer to handle vigilance rides and for documentation purpose to get registered with DAVP/PCI. After some years slowly the new branches will also become 60,000 circulation and then loot money in crores. As said above, though the respective department knows about this fraud business, the managing director of this news paper, maintain it by bribing concerns in DAVP & PCI. If any official refuses to take bribe and don’t favor them, then as shown in movies the managing director of publication will impact their personal lives. The same bribe policy (40-60 percent share) is successfully implemented in Railways, Vizag Steel, electricity board and various departments of government to get the advertisements. All the money earned thru this fraud news paper business is black money and this will be converted to white money by showing the fake income certificates from Farm lands. This is again by bribing respective MRO of the Mandal. Also several lakh rupees were given as gift money to managing director and family by the person who is a rice ration card holder (the servant of news paper M.D or relatives) So that the black money will be converted into white and no need to pay tax and show source of income to government. With this black money, they are buying weapons (rifles) and becoming as dons of Vizag, Black mailing poor formers if they are not intended to sell their forming lands to these corruptive media persons. Apart from the above, this fraud news paper is getting benefits from government in various forms like free land for publication (by making poor house less- this is so pity on humanity), loans at very low interest rates as part of encouragement to small scale industries. Multi story buildings are constructed in the land given by government and created lodges, rented to other business (this is another way to convert the black money to regular money). The loan amount with less interest rate taken from government., will be used in micro financing at very high interest rates and harassing middle class and poor people if they are unable to repay in different ways. Can’t government take action on this fraud news paper business and save public money as well as poor and middle class farmers from the corruptive media person??? We hope the government authorities can easily prove that the Vijayabhanu news paper headquartered in Vizag doesn’t have the circulation of 60000+ papers per day and it is a fraud news paper looting public money. Please take action on M.D of Vijayabhanu and save public money, middleclass people from him. Also recover the assets earned thru the fraud business. Guys add your comments as well and provide your support, to save our Nation and participate in building corruption free India. One can see the List of news papers from A.P that are registered with DAVP and their circulation details at http://www.davp.nic.in/upload/davp_empanel_status.aspx To see the business amount thru DAVP of each publication visit http://www.davp.nic.in/annual_200910_eng.pdf Conclusion: We are passing this information to all respected govt. authorities by e-mail or post, we hope action will be taken on this corruptive business man. Address: # Vijayabhanu, 9 - 3 - 17, Pithapuram Colony, Maddilapalem, Visakhapatnam – 530013. Land line: 0891-2564353, Cell: 9866119799, Vijayabhanu, #502, ANH Apartments, beside Forbes school, Redhills, Lakdikapool, Hyderabad.

Conde Nast GQ Magazine offer Subsceibed - sent chq. Jan 2010 Received confirmation 5th. FEB 2010 25th. May - sent complaint- Promised Gift not received. 8th. July sent reminder - NO reply, NO responce, NO gift. Complete Apathy once they have the money. Subscription Scam - They solicit subscriptions - once they receive the money, they develop a total disregard for the subscriber - repeated mails and requests go unanswered. Maybe they feel coming to a third world country like India they can treat the people with complete apathy - they would never get away with this behavior in the west - A shame that they are allowed to adopt this attitude here.

They have not delivered the last three issues dated 30.06.2010, 07.07.2010 and 14.07.2010 despite numerous complaints through mail. They are not even informing the status of my subscription whether it is due for renewal. In fact they are not even responing to my mails. This is very disgraceful for a company like India Today group.

I had paid the annual subsription for The Times of India and Maharashtra Times in the months of September 2009, however since then the delivery of the news papers has become very much irregular. The Vendor code is 21485688 and the name is Balgovind Sing. I had to spend more on making the calls to delivery person and the Bennett Coleman and Company does not seem to control any such incidence since they have already received the entire money for the year.

Hi I had placed order for 4 books Item Code # BS07 Costing Rs.399/- books cost and Rs. 99/- Delivery cost, totaling to Rs. 498/- on 29th August 2009 with Mr Ketan from the Living Media India Limited- India Today Book Club. I paid through my ICICI Credit card on the same day over the telephone. The ordre # was 7770051158. However, Inspite of several calls to them and also emails I am yet to receive books from them. Every time I call them it takes minimum 25 minutes to get connected to a human voice. On every call I was assured that the books were out of stock and would be delivered soon . They also responded to my emails in the month of march and assured me that the books would be delivered soon. However they are yet to deliver. I have spent more than double the money by way of phone calls to them and interest acured on the credit card purchase that I made. I now seek help from. I dont want the books anymore as I would not like to do business with an unethical company, that preaches something and practices just the opposite I want the company to pay back the initial money Rs498/- that I paid to them along with the interest that I paid to ICICC bank credit card, the telephone charges that I incurred in contacting them several times and compensation for harassment for the last 10 months. I anticipate your support. Regards Ashok Chary

This is a complaint related to the matrimonial advertisement in times of india, pune edition ..... i am from aurangabad and had given an matrimonial advertisement for my daughter.... the team of pune times working here in aurangabad is nor cooperative neither sensible for being here ..... i went there and asked for the formalities for the advertisement to be pblished .... they handed me the form and informed me that 5 lines would cost Rs 2850 and we agreed to the fact ..... next 2 days there was no one available on the site ..... third day when we went we were told that the mentioned statement of five lines would be costlier (abt 4000) so we should decrease the content .... so it was done ... again after confirmation also ,there was no add published ...... again calling back to him, we could know that was a technical mistake ...ok ....before the add was published ,there was a call from the head office and was conveyed that one more line can be adjusted without any extra charge .... i really thank them for that .... but today again when the add was finally published i found them in Brahmin section instead of bengali section .... for a middle class family like us Rs 2850 is lot ... so whom should we approach the same .... the local branch who is so ignorant or we should not trust TOI ?
