The streets of Hari Nagar New Delhi 110064 (especially street no.6 and 7) is being used for illegal commercial activities for almost last ten years. in spite of repeated complaints to various department as well as the MCD, no action has been taken as most of shops are belong to supporters of BJP. A dded to all this , this village has a Harbout Line Station on the KARJAT TO CST Route already built and ready for use. But wait a bit as the authorities who are the helpers and controller of all the development in this Chickley Village are at the moment in a deep slumber and do realize that they are doing un-justice to this beautiful village. This village has a lot of residence who travel to and fro depending on the "Autorickshaw" who swindle each and every commuter to the tune of Rs.10/- (TEN) per head only for a one kilometer ride till the Chickley Phata (Juncton). Then from there on all have to either use a NMMT Bus or a TUMTUM AUTORICKSHAW to reach the ST Depot which cost anothe Rs.10/- (TEN) or the Panvel Station by walking another 10 minutes. Thats not all, all the pedestrians and commuters face a bumpy ride over this uneven road which has never been re-surfaced in ages to reach the Chickley Phata (Junction). All this is a same old story every morning while going to office, but on returning back from officce and if you reach this Chickley Phata (Junction) after 7 PM then you had it, as there are no Autorickshaws or Street lights all along the way. Our building is more than 15 years old. I would like to complaint about this particular resident in adjoining flat no. 601, Mr.Sunil Borse, who is carrying out several illegal changes in his duplex flat. a. He has converted his bottom “open to air” balcony to a proper room. b. He has built a complete 200 sq.ft. mezzanine floor in his balcony using M.S. Iron” I” channels and concrete blocks, adding severe load on the balcony and the entire building structure. On top of this mezzanine floor he has built a ceiling using again iron angles and channels and on top of that he has used several huge asbestos sheets to cover this room from the terrace. c. He has broken side RCC walls & column-like partitions next to every window, broken the 4 ft. base on which window was originally mounted. He has then extended the windows and put box type grills 20” away from the building wall. d. He has covered the original doors provided by the builder with brick walls and has then made new entrances/doors elsewhere by breaking the existing walls. e. He has altered the original pipeline and put in extra large special pipes only for his bathrooms/kitchen from the society overhead water tank. f. Apart from this all the debris created by breaking of walls are pilled up in building premises, making the area unsafe, ugly and messy. This unauthorized work has been going on since last 30-40 days and inspite of several complaints to the Secretary, none of the committee members have taken any action against him, since he is the Chairman of the society for the last one year. This continuous banging/drilling activities throughout the day since last 30/40 days is creating lot of vibrations in the building and has also caused deep cracks on my hall common wall. We are unable to stay peacefully because of this continuous banging noise. We are scared that this work can endanger the safety of the building leading to collapse of this 15 years old building I would like the TMC to take strict action against such unauthorized changes and set an example for other members who are also thinking of the same alterations. If such illegal activities are not stopped , it will create extra loading on the building pillar which may cause cracks in the pillars and might weaken the building.
