                 <title>Senior Citzen Account non Deposit of TDS recovered at source</title>

                 <description>My name is Maj Gen Vinod Anand( PAN NoABWPA 4637Q). I have a senior citizen account at Sector 19 Post Office at NOIDA.   I was given Form 16 A for the TDS recovered at source for Fin year 2009-10,( AY 2010-11) by the Post Office. Since this did not get reflected in Form 26 AS, income tax department has raised an observation that the TDS declared by me in th I.T return is not matching with the TDS deposited.   It has come to light that the TDS which was recovered did not get reflected in Form 26AS because the post ofice does not have an on line facility and the staff was not aware of the procedure of depositing TDS through the TIN centre service provided by the I.T authorities.   I am now required to deposit the additional income tax due from me as a fallout of the post office not depositing the TDS recovered from me within the next 20 days as per notice served to me under Section143(1).   I have repeatedly requested the post office staff to deposit the TDS recovered from me so that Form 26AS can be rectified but they are neither concerned nor bothered to take action in the matter. Consequently for no fault of mine I am being made to run from pillar to post.     The TDS recovered by the Post Office during FY 2010-11 has also not been deposited and has not been reflected in Form 26AS for that year.   I am also given to understand that a large number of such observations have been raised by the I.T authorities due to this reason.   This lack of coordination between the I.T dept and post offices is leading to avoidable increase of infructuous work in both the departments and a lot of harrasment to individual tax payers for no fault of theirs.    I request that this may please be addressed urgently so that computerisation and a lack of coordination does not lead to avoidable harassment of tax payers      Maj Gen Vinod Anand 9818943101   Reply Forward</description>

But the delivered packet was found short of car vaccum cleaner. This was immediately brought to the notice of the company through their phone no:09223516148. The reference no given to me by MrDAVINDER,the executive attending there was "cancellation fer. no as 397420" on 14-12-2010,moreover this call was a chrged call to me for Rs.20-45 paisa since they took it so long to get the compliant lodge. On reminding of the cancellations and asking for refund on 08-11-2010, an executive Ms.Jasmine from Mumbai stressed upon that I had to keep the what so ever materials was delivered and no refund would be given. After my retirement from Railways, I have settled at my native place, Kakinada and we have submitted applications for the transfer of above MIS and SB accounts to Kakinada Head post office, PIN-533001 on 20-8-2010 along with relevant pass books at Kakinada Head post office. Though FOUR AND HALF MONTHS HAVE PASSED, the above MIS and SB accounts have not yet been transferred to Kakinada Head Post office and we, senior citizens, are facing financial problems for want of interest on above MIS accounts. I humbly request that an early action may be taken for the transfer of above MIS and SB accounts from Vasai Road West post office, PIN-401202 to Kakinada Head Post office, PIN-533001 and oblige. From: Y.V.Narayan, Retd. As per post office rule, I gave a letter for verification on Sep 2009 but even after more than 08 month no reply received from BARIBHITERGAON post office and my verification is still pending. I was refused payment by YASHODA NAGAR, KANPUR (CITY) post office of my KVP certificates though maturity date is over on 23/11/2009. I am in need of money but No body to listen my problem. I met Asst. Supdt. of Posts &amp; many other KVP related officer at KANPUR Head Post office at many times but every body listen my problem but nobody help to me and told to me wait, till verification process is over. The time of clearance was not displayed on it. I do not know whether the clearance was done or not but the cover did not reach the addressee till date. Please look into the matter and do the needful in the mastter and kindly issue instructions to the concerned to display time of clearance and ensure clearance every day with out fail.
