atm machine says invalid card

Respected Sir

I have received a new silver master card from sbi bank a few week before.The card is not working properly as whenever i put it in atm machine to do any transaction,it comes with the message of invalid card while v.few times it makes the transaction.I need a solution to this as early as possible so kindly provide some way.
