Given wrong information before buying
I had been to J.P.Collection,Exclusive Samsonite showroom) at No19, 9th main road,4th Block Jaya nagar Bangalore-560011 and was looking for a light travel hand baggage cum laptop bag weighing around 2.500 Kg as applicable limit on international carrier is 8 kg(lufthansa) for cabin baggage.
I had seen bags in VIP also but after visiting SAMSONITE and as per stated by the shopkeeper that the weight of this bag(Quadrion pro mobile office) is 2.500 kg and is a fast moving bag due to less weight,when insisted for weighing machine he said i (shopkeeper) stand guarantee and on his words bought it for Rs11350/= for which invoice was given without any invoice no and manually written on 6th March 2011.
Next day morning i took that bag and got it weigh and the weight was 4.230 Kg.
When i approached the shop for wrong details,the reply was i am a marketing person and has sold the bag to you and never said that the weight is 2.500 kg
He was arrogant and the attitude was totally different since he had received full money.
The shop keeper knew that he has sold the bag by providing wrong details for the sake of business(which is not ethicle for a showroom of SAMSONITE),
later in the evening of 7th March when he refused to give refund for that bag i was forced to purchase One laptop wheeler cotan rolling tote black ---even on 7th march when i insisted that i will get it weigh outside,he tookout weighing machine from his store and got this bag weigh)and still he was adamant for giving the balance amount and bought additional laptop office bag by paying extra Rs500/= total bill now is Rs11850/=
My submission is that the public should be AWARE OF SUCH shopkeepers,even on 6th when i was there i could see the arrogant attitude when a senior citizon along with son bought TWO big size suit cases and till shopkeeper got the payment he was polite and after getting payment when the person requested that if his office boy can help him in getting one bag in his car,he refused and said bring your car and stop the car near his shop(its a no parking area).The customer had respect for traffic rules and took it by him self.
This issue must be brought into the notice of the SAMSONITE COMPANY to stop tarnishing the image of a good product company for the sake of marketing and arrogance,the example why i have presented as the shopkeeper had weighing machine but to get the business he has cheated us.
As its a known fact that on international airlines they are strict about the weight and when the limit for cabin baggage is 8 kg,the shopkeeper said airlines will adjust.
This incident has definitely made my mind set NOT TO VISIT J P COLLECTION (SAMSONITE SHOWRO0M)4th BLOCK JAYANAGAR BANGALORE and will also advise others to be CAREFUL WHILE SHOPPING in THIS SHOP.
And after replacement he has given a computerized bill with invoice no mentioning both the products bought and no mention of old bag replacement.The fresh invoice no is 02610 dated 07-march-2011 8.22 pm
Invoice copy for the earlier bag(without invoice no)and fresh bill with number for the exchange bag is available with me as documentary evidence if required by someone.
At the end i will state avoid visiting the SAMSONITE SHOP--J P COLLECTION 4th Block Jayanagar Bangalore instead go to any other SAMSONITE SHOP in Bangalore as product is good but the shopkeeper has no ethics for the customer requirement. |
