My documents are being received by nsdl and they are sitting on it. The status on the website has not changed since 4th of April. Every where it shows that applying for PAN is made very easy. Truth is the whole system will drive you nuts. Don't ever apply online. I think it takes longer cos i applied online. Maybe they only entertain the applications that come through agents. I shud have got it done through an agent. I would have got it by now. Every time i call their office, they give a complaint number- god knows what to do with it. Even they have no answer so they hang up. I needed the pan no. very urgently. I was under a wrong impression that i will be issued one within 15 days. Its all a myth.
