Wrong Treatment
On 03.02.2011 by about 12:30hrs, I visited London Laser Clinic, Annanagar, Chennai with the complaint of painful conditions of small lumps on the right thigh(at the rubbing areas of both the thighs). Ms. Joshna, i/c of the Clinic, attended and after examination she advised that the lumps could be removed by laser-treatment and quoted Rs.1500/-as charges. I accepted her advice and she did laser-treatment which was painful at times. After the treatemnt, she informed that the lumps would fall apart within two-days time (except one big lump which could be removed by second treatment after 10 days) and prescribed Elovera cream to be applied on the lumps.
By the evening of that day, I felt the pain increasing and I found it difficult to walk. On that night, I felt feverish for which I took Paracetamol.
Next day(04.02.2011) by about 11:00hrs, I phoned her and told that the pain due to the lumps had increased and I found difficult to walk. I asked her if I required consultation with Skin Doctor and she said I could consult.In the evening I visited a Skin Doctor at Villivakkam, Chennai and explained him the conditions. After examining, he told that it was wrong to treat by laser under painful conditions. He also told that the procedure is to administer local anaesthesia and remove the lumps in entirety. He prescribed Mahacef XL and Fusiderm Cream for a week.
On 09.02.2011 by about 11:00hrs, I visited London Laser Clinic, Annanagar, Chennai and told Ms. Joshna that the treatment given by her was wrong and had worsened the conditions requiring treatment by a Skin Doctor. I told her that the lumps had not fallen and I asked for refund of the Charges. But, she was giving excuses and was not inclined to refund the charges.
I sent mail on 15.02.2011 to info@london-laser.com to the attention of Dr. Azeena Khader, London Laser Clinic, Egmore, Chennai for remedial action. But, there has been no reply.
Can I get remedy as Patient having been wrongly treated?
