COMPANY’S RESPONSE TO A STINKER TITLED: “Cheated by GZ Group Management and Indian Co

We wish to address issues maliciously published and pasted on the internet by Mr. Anil Kumar, an Indian Citizen, an ex-employee of Ganza Engineering Limited, a member of GZ Group of companies.

Anil Kumar was employed by GZ Group on the 29th of November, 2009 after falsely representing to Mr. Uri Kertes, a member of GZ Group, that he was exceptionally good on his technical Job and that he was fluent in written and spoken English Language which would be his only means of communication in Nigeria as far as his employment was concerned.

Like other Indians who are currently enjoying their employment with GZ Group Limited, upon his arrival in Nigeria, Anil Kumar was settled in a comfortable apartment in one of the best areas of Abakaliki G.R.A and was given a brand new official Toyota Corolla Car and other conveniences that would make him very comfortable on his job. He was also placed on a high salary in U.S. Dollars.

We had thought that the above incentives will enhance Anil Kumar performance on his Job. We were however wrong.

We observed after one month of resuming office that Mr. Anil Kumar is grossly negligent and manifestly deficient in written and spoken English Language and could not communicate effectively with his superiors and his subordinates. This weakness caused the company losses resulting from his inability to maintain and repair the valuable construction equipment under his care, thereby affecting the work on site.
Mr. Kumar was observed sitting in the office most of the time and relying on reports from less senior mechanics on the state of the various pieces of equipment, without verifying these reports. This ran contrary to his authority and duty and to the common practice in Nigeria, and resulted in wrong diagnosis of faults, carrying out unnecessary repairs works and failure to carry out the necessary repair works. The outcome on site was that many of the heavy construction equipment did not function, causing the works to fall behind the construction works program and quarrels with the Clients.

Anil Kumar was due to return to Nigeria from his Leave on the 18th of June 2010 but delayed the scheduled return time after time until his re-entry Visa expired.
This caused GZ Group to engage other Technicians to install its Tower Cranes at an additional cost.

Consequently, the only reasonable option open to GZ Group Limited was to treat the said mail as his deemed resignation having taken a unilateral decision to disengage from the GZ Group without considering the damage it would cause to the Company.

In preparing his terminal benefit, we discovered that Anil Kumar was to refund the sum of USD16 Dollars to the Company dues to the aforementioned I Owe You Notes he had signed for collection of cash in local currency. Anil Kumar is also to return two official telephone handsets and their various Sim cards which are still in his possession till date.

Against this backdrop, a letter was forwarded to Mr. Anil Kumar requesting him to refund the amount owed GZ Group and to return the said Telephone Hand sets and their Sim Cards which he has failed to return till date.

GZ Group procured services of professional staff engagement from the Indian consultancy firm HUTRANZ CONSULTANTS which has successfully managed to identify and mobilize dozens of professionals in various senior positions in GZ Group's companies, to the satisfaction of all parties.

Mr. Kumar’s statement pasted or published on the Internet is libelous, and the only reason that the Company is not suing him to court is that it does not have the time to deal with such appalling and counterproductive matters. Rather, the Company is developing it businesses. We shall take necessary legal steps to address this case in the future if it becomes absolutely necessary.

In the light of the above, readers of the Libelous statement published by Anil Kumar against GZ Group is best advised to discountenance the said libelous statement.
Thank you.
