Improper Service and Response
I had purchased Mahindra Xylo from Sri Durga Automobiles, Delhi on 13/11/2009. I had also opted for fitted Rear Sensor from Sri Durga Automobiles. The Sales Exec had assured me that Accessories carry One yr warranty. On 12/07/2010 my car went for the regular Second Service. AFter the servicing, the rear sensors had stopped functioning which was duly reported to Sri Durga's accessory incharge (Mr. Kulbhushan). NOthing happened. I myself calledup RD(Manufacturer) for repairs/replacement, which was done but again with a faulty unit. After registering the complain again, i was told that your(factory fitted, earlier unit) was wet and hence can not be replaced again.
I reported this matter to Mr. Kulbhushan again, nothing happened except for promises.
I further involved the Mr. Arora (GM, Sri Durga) and explained him the entire story, i just got counter replies and finally he seeked some time to respond. A call from his side is still awaited. My question :
1. Why has the unit been installed at a place where there is a possibility of water sneaking in?
2. Who is responsible for this leak? if it is the improper fitting then RD(Manufacturer) should be penalised, or if the leak is because of the fault in the Car, Mahindra should be penalised.
Why should i pay for the repairs?
Can anyone escalate the complaint t the higher authorities? |

Gangotri being a hillside, there was no service centre available. Matter was reported to Customer care and we believed in their false assurances that a Mechanic is reaching within 2/3 hours, nobody turned up putting us in such an inconvenience. The Vehicle has a running of a total of 74000 then and the warranty is valid till 2015 but your Agency people said, it is not under warranty and started giving us lectures as has been happening whenever you are in trouble that the Vehcile has crossed the normal warranty time of 50,000 and your extended warranty is not valid due to the reason that you have not had a regular check up of your Vehicle. These rules were not taught while buying the Vehicle from the Showroom in January 2011. They were interested to sell the Vehicle somehow then and an additional Rs 12000 was also taken for Extended bumper to bumper warranty for 2 years.
Ultimately,when no help was coming, the Vehicle was transported to Dehradun by a Truck and the Service Centre people declared that the Injectors are not working due to bad diesel going inside (how can this happen only an expert will say) and hence all the injectors has to be changed. I spent Rs 32,000 for injectors and Rs 15000 for transportation. Under such a situation what happens to my extended warranty where I spent an additional Rs 12000 for the same. Please advise in the matter. My complaint is there with the customer care from 25th May on a regular note. I called up hundreds of time to hear a very sorry feeling reply and people on the other side were helpless and befooling me.
I want a clear reply or-else want to go to a public redressal forum. | |
